# Testing with MXCU

MXCU has two institutions that can be found in the Connect Widget and through queries to the `/institutions` endpoint:

* **MXCU (OAuth)** (institution code: `mxcu_oauth`) takes you through a hypothetical OAuth flow that results in the MX platform receiving an OAuth token it uses to connect the member.
* **MXCU (Credential)** (institution code: `mxcu_credential`) is a credential-based authentication where you'll enter the MXCU credentials.

Connecting to these institutions generates test data for accounts and transactions.

  If you're unable to find these institutions using our Connect Widget or through searching with our API endpoints, please contact us and we'll enable them for you.
</Info>

There are no aggregation limits on the MXCU institutions, meaning that you can aggregate without worrying about the throttle window applied to other institutions.

You can use the MXCU (OAuth) institution to [test multiple account owners](/resources/test-platform/mxcu/testing-multiple-account-owners).

  Unsure if you should use MXCU? See [When To Use MX Bank vs. MXCU](/resources/test-platform#when-to-use-mx-bank-vs-mxcu) for guidance.
