Import Audiences

Import your own user list to create a campaign filtered by an attribute not available in Customer Analytics dashboards. This may also be used to create an audience of internal, test users for testing campaigns before publishing to production.

Limit import

This import method is not recommended for large audiences. Each entry is validated to determine if the user is on the platform. Validation may take from several minutes to approximately two hours for audiences with ~1M users.

A sample CSV file is available for download in the Import Audience wizard.

File requirements:

  • CSV format
  • Single column with no header
  • Each line should only contain one External User ID
  • 1 million rows or fewer per file

After validating the import, the audience details will show the number of users that were found or not found on the platform. You may export a list of not-found users.

The audience details customer list will show the total number of imported users. However, the audience user count will only include users that were found on the platform.
