Audiences

Audiences are a list of segmented users, which are typically used for targeted marketing campaigns.

Audiences dashboard

We offer various ways to create the right audience for your use case.

Messaging

  • Create basic audiences from the Audience builder dashboard (external relationships attributes, demographics).

Customer Analytics

If you're a Customer Analytics client, in addition to the ability to create basic audiences (above), several audience features are available from Customer Analytics dashboards.

  • Use natural language to create audiences. Audience Assistant reads your plain-language request, translates it to the underlying Customer Analytics filters, and shows the human‑readable conditions that define the resulting audience.

  • Create specialized audiences. In segment analytics, filter by use-case (growing deposits, increasing loan balances, etc.) to select a dashboard then filter the list and create audiences.

  • Choose recommended audiences from the audiences dashboard.

  • Import an audience to create a campaign for users filtered by an attribute not available in Customer Analytics. This may be used to create an audience of internal, test users for testing campaigns before publishing to production. Learn how to import using our Import Audiences guide.

Marketing Opt-Out List

You can import a single list of users who have opted-out of promotional communications to exclude them from new messages.

Select Audiences, then Marketing opt-out list to import a list or update an existing one.

The list must contain the id values you set (not MX) when creating the user on our system. You may have used an internal CIF field value or some other value when setting it. For more info, see MX-Defined GUIDs vs IDs Defined by You.

Best Practice

To comply with industry regulations and best practices, it's recommended to update this list every 30 days.

When you create a message and select the option to exclude users in the opt-out list, it'll show how many users in the audience are in that list.
