Manage API Keys
If you'd like to get started developing with MX APIs, and don't yet have API keys, sign up for MX Client Dashboard. After filling out the sign up form, we'll send an email verification. When that's complete, log in to Client Dashboard and select API keys to access your developer API keys. Developer API keys are free.
When you're ready, request production API keys from MX.
View API Keys
- Select API keys. Your Production and Developer API keys are listed in their own sections.
- For each API key, you can select the show icon to reveal the key, or select the copy icon to copy the key to your clipboard.

Keep your API keys secure. Don't share or include them in any client-side code.
Rotate API Keys
Depending on the type of API keys you're using, you may have the option to rotate the key. Once a rotation is initiated, your current/old API key will expire in 30 days.
- Select API keys.
- Select Rotate next to the key you want to rotate (this will mark this key for expiration).
- Select Rotate key.
- Confirm that you now have a new primary API key, and an expiring API key.
