Transactions

The Transactions feature displays a comprehensive view of all account transactions, organized by date with the most recent at the top. Your users can search, filter, categorize transactions, and view embedded financial insights.

Your users can view All Transactions by:

  • Selecting View More on the Dashboard's transaction card
  • Selecting More → All Transactions

Transactions Header

The Transactions view shows transactions grouped by date with the most recent at the top.

note

The app displays pending transactions at the top with the word Pending.

The top of the screen includes a search bar, filter, and a three-dot menu for more options.

Search bar: your users can type their search criteria.

Filter: opens a menu with various filter options.

Three-dot menu: opens a More Options modal containing the Send Feedback form.

Transaction Row

Each transaction row will display:

  • The merchant or category icon (if there is no known merchant, the app displays category icons)
  • Account icon
  • Merchant name
  • Account name
  • Category name
  • Amount (displays credits in a success color with a "+" and displays debits for liability accounts in an error color with a "-")
  • Pending status
  • Flag (only appears for flagged transactions)
  • Posted date

When your users start the app, it loads the last 90 days of transactions. Your users can adjust the date range to download more data. If a transaction has associated Insights, the app embeds those insights into the same row. The transaction date component stays at the top while scrolling until a new date replaces it.

Transaction Details

When your users select a particular transaction, the app opens the Transaction Details screen. The app displays the transaction name, amount, account name, and date in a card view at the top. Tag and Flag options appear on the card. If the app generates an insight for the transaction, it appears in the center.

Transaction Info shows the transaction account, date, category, and any other transaction fields that the app has populated.

note

If the transaction is associated with a check deposit, the app displays View Check Images as an option under the Category row.

To change the transaction date, your users can use the right-arrow icon to open a calendar. After they change the date, the app displays the original date underneath the transaction date.

Your users can also change the category using the right-arrow icon. At the end of this screen, your users see transaction actions: flag transaction, hide transaction, add memo, and add tags.

If the app identifies a merchant in the transaction, the Similar Transactions row appears. Your users can select the row to display the All Transactions page, filtered for that same merchant.

Edit Transaction

Your users can use the Add Memo or Edit Memo button to open a text input screen where they can add or edit a transaction memo.

Your users can hide the transaction, which excludes it from the Budgets and Spending functionalities.

Your users can tag or flag transactions within the Transaction Details card view.

  • Tag: Your users can select to open an Assign Tags menu. This menu lets them add tags, edit tags, or toggle existing tags as desired.
  • Flag: Your users can select to turn the Flag Transaction toggle on and off. Flagging transactions makes them easier to find or signals importance.

Categorizing

Your users can edit transaction categories from the Transaction Info screen. They select the Category tab and use the right-arrow button to go to the Edit Category screen. Here, they can select one or more categories for the transaction and assign desired amounts for each category.

Your users can also remove a category from the transaction on this screen. If your users split a transaction, the app automatically calculates the remaining amounts (but they can still edit them). Your users can also create their own subcategories. If the app automatically categorizes a transaction and your users want to override it, a checkbox appears while editing the category, giving them the option to Save as Rule. When your users check this box, the app automatically categorizes future transactions with this new category.

note

The Save as Rule checkbox won't appear on split transactions.
