Common Configurations & Customizations

The most requested configuration & customization changes are as follows:

  • Account display
  • Assets. The app can be configured to use different fonts, icons, and images.
  • Dashboard
  • Holidays. The app can be configured to make certain days of the year ineligible to be selected in its retail banking features (deposits, payments, transfers, and so on).
  • Localizations
  • Navigation. The app supports either a bottom navigation menu or a sidebar navigation menu.
  • Password and username constraints.
  • Screen reader support. By default, the mobile app supports screen readers. However, the screen reader may not read some UI text accurately (for example, an acronym like "FICO"). We can apply a transformation to any text before it's passed to the screen reader to read aloud.
  • Text. Any text that’s natively displayed in the app can be customized.
  • Themes

Account Display

Account information is displayed in many places throughout the app. The app can be configured to change the content and formatting of this information.

Rows of account information, such as the account’s available balance or institution name, can be displayed for each account.

For each row of account info that’s displayed, the following can be customized:

  • The type of data that’s displayed
  • When the row displays
  • The text color
  • Whether an alert appears beside the row and sets that row’s text color accordingly

The account info that appears in each location can be customized to display:

  • Always
  • Never
  • Only if the account has the values required by the type of data
  • Only if either the left or right section displays a non-zero balance.
  • Only if there’s a past due balance on the account

Dashboard

Background Image

The dashboard can be customized to show more, less, or the entire background image.

Cards

Dashboard cards are sections of the dashboard that display an at-a-glance view of a particular feature of the app. For example, the transactions card in the dashboard shows the three most recent transactions.

Dashboard cards are the primary way a user navigates to a particular feature of the app.

The following changes can be made to dashboard cards:

  • Which cards appear on the dashboard.
  • The order each card is displayed.
  • Whether the card can be moved or toggled on/off by the user.

Custom Cards

We can create up to three custom cards that appear on the dashboard. The label, icon, icon width, and card width are customizable. These cards can link to a WebView or send the user to native functionality within the app.

Localizations

When a user changes the language on their mobile device, the app will use the respective translation file.

By default we offer support to localize any text in the app for:

  • English (US)
  • English (Canada)

Themes

The mobile app can have multiple themes that brand the app in unique ways by using different colors, text colors, fonts, buttons, and more. End users can select which theme they’d like to use in Settings.
